In the early 1980s, he became a reporter on the i>OxfordStar,/i> and within a year, was promoted to deputy editor./p>p>He strongly believed that the serious side of journalism shouldbe tempered by a sense of fun./p>p>He published a front-page exclusive in the i>Star/i>revealing that the Prince and Princess of Wales were to move toBradfield Hall, near Kidlington.
