As RNZYS is also managing the Louis Vuitton regatta, it makes for a smooth operation to have our complimentary regatta administered by the same highly-skilled organisation, says Mark. Just like the Louis Vuitton series, our skippers attend an early morning briefing where they are advised which race course theyll be sailing that day with an 11am start. We will then promptly advise media and post on our website, www.millenniumcup.co.nz, which sailing course is being a hrefhttp://yasaysnyeh.jugem.jp/?eid372>used/a> so that public can make the most of the opportunities to see these fantastic superyachts under full sail. The longest of the Millennium Cup races will involve the Hauraki Gulf islands. Starting off Takapuna beach, the yachts head northeast through the deepwater passage between the end of Whangaparaoa peninsula and Tiritiri Matangi Island, then northwest to round Moturoa Island and back through the Tiri passage to Takapuna. There are three different options within this course with the longest being around 40 nautical miles and the others around 33 nautical miles. One of the shorter options includes rounding Rakino Island before returning to the finish. The inner harbour race is sure to offer spectators fantastic photo opportunities, says Mark. The superyachts cross the start off Princes Wharf, head towards Motuihe Island to round Northern Leading mark then sail back up the harbour to a mark near the harbour bridge and back to Princes Wharf. Seeing these magnificent yachts under full sail so close to both shores of Auckland Harbour is certainly going to be exciting to watch. The inner harbour race can only take place a hrefhttp://ouybsudzod.jugem.jp/?eid358>on/a> a day when the Louis Vuitton competitors are sailing either their blue or green courses (the more northern courses). The third and final race course for Millennium Cup competitors involves two shorter races off a hrefhttp://enyoueseg.jugem.jp/?eid392>Takapuna/a> Beach. A triangular course will be marked with buoys, taking the yachts out towards Rakino Island, north towards Gulf Harbour and a hrefhttp://ytaewykuup.jugem.jp/?eid350>back/a> to Takapuna. One of these short courses will be sailed in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Ragtime on the Band Wagon! The most recent entrant to the Millennium Cup 2009 is Ragtime (ex-Infidel). Ragtime has covered 150,000 miles of the earths watery surface since she was launched in 1964, half of those on the race course. Built in New Zealand by John Spencer for NZ industrialist Tom Clark, she was a break through design in terms of very lightweight construction, weighing 24,000 pounds in an era when most 65 footers weighed twice that. With a long, narrow planing hull and chines and Spencers Art Deco stainless window frames, Infidel was also visually unusual. She has benefitted over the years from keel, rudder and mast updates, but the iconic hard chined hull and black, teak, and stainless look are unchanged Ragtime harks back to a different age, of wooden hulls, bright varnish, straight lines and hard, angular chines: quite stunning. She is also, for a 65 foot long boat, tiny, with a 11 beam and little room below deck: with a full racing crew of nine it can get very cosy. Clark defeated the seemingly unbeatable Ranger for the New Zealand Class A Championship in 1967. Jessica Kantor See Volvo Ocean Race 2008-9 images: See Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12 images Last Updated ( Thursday, 27 October 2011 ) /p> h3>Audi MedCup:Emirates Team New Zealand poised for win in Cartagena/h3>p> Emirates Team New Zealands 3,2,1 today leaves them poised to win in Cartagena, while Roma Mk 2 eased two points clear in the GP42 regatta and the Series standings. Three different boats won races on this penultimate day of the Audi MedCup Circuit seasons TP52 Series but it is Emirates Team New Zealand who look set to extend their unprecedented record, setting up to win four of this seasons five regattas. While conditions were not as tough as Thursdays, the breezes in a hrefhttp://sujjuepo.jugem.jp/?eid375>each/a> successive race proved different, hard to read, and a over the three contests a comprehensive test for tacticians and crews in both TP52 and GP 42 Series. Consistency across the three heats was keynote and it was Emirates Team New Zealand whose 3,2,1 proved telling as they stretched nine points clear of Portugals Bigamist 7. If concerns exist that the razor sharp Kiwi team have set the bar high this season consider the Portuguese crew. Under Olympic Star helm Afonso Domingos (POR), the team which comprise 40% amateurs a hrefhttp://eudeejmy.jugem.jp/?eid369>with/a> a well prepared 2008 Judel/Vrolijk boat, bought through the winter, are seriously challenging the 2007 MedCup Champions for third overall on the series, lie second overall at this regatta and are gunning hard into the final day to better their three fourth place finishes in Marseille, Cagliari and Portimao. The New Zealand crew may be past the finishing post in terms of the Circuit title, but the tussle for second and third will go to the wire. Only eight points now separate Quantum Racing (USA), current tenants of second place from fifth placed Matador (ARG) whose painful slide down the series rankings this regatta could not be checked today, particularly with their eighth in the third race when they twisted their gennaker around the keel. Quantum Racing won the first race of the day ahead of ETNZ. A crisp start from Terry Hutchinson (USA) and the a hrefhttp://okamheje.jugem.jp/?eid397>afterguard/a> of the reigning champions laid the foundation in the 11-14 knots of breeze. In the second race there was a pronounced split in the breeze, especially where it was influenced by the high, rocky promontory near the top of the windward leg. This time there were some major gains and losses to be made. Emirates Team New Zealand had lead to the leeward gate with Brbon giving chase. Both tracked left into the building breeze after the gate, but Matador, Bigamist and Artemis (SWE) struck it rich on the right and crossed the leaders on the top third of the beat. As the wind flicked back at the windward mark Bigamist were able to slip inside Matador and Artemis, as the pair, who were both all but stalled by the sudden change. While Bigamist took the winning gun, Emirates Team New Zealand gained four places on the run and surged to finish just four seconds behind. The Kiwi machine was at full revs in the final race when the wind piped up to 22 knots and the seas kicked up again. While Brbon hung tight and took a good second, there were problems among the fleet. Quantum Racing split another kite, but Cristabellas season looks to have finished early after the top metre and a half of the mast snapped off. Roma takes back the lead Todays three races in the GP42 fleet were critical for determining the overall Series champion, as Roma 2 (ITA) were able to extricate themselves from yesterdays carnage to take back a 2-point series lead from archrivals Islas Canarias Puerto Calero (ESP). But it wasnt easy: At some point in today, nearly every team had their time at the top of the pack, including Iberdrola (ESP), who are sailing their first and only MedCup event, and Airis (ITA) who have had some tough luck in the last few stages in the series. Success came for some in having clever positioning and tactics, always important in this small but a hrefhttp://vzural.jugem.jp/?eid369>competitive/a> group, as the first two races in particular were sailed in some very tricky conditions, with the breeze being on and off extremes of 8 to 14 knots. Match race expert Paolo Cian (ITA) and his Roma team seemed particularly adept at this. But for others raw speed and maybe a little luck were the keys, and in this regard the Islas Canarias team excelled early in the afternoon, but then Turismo Madrid (ESP) came on later to take their first-ever MedCup win. In this race there was a return to large, towering seas and a stiff breeze, maybe turned down just a notch from the Red Zone conditions of yesterday, and thus infinitely more fun. There were still mishaps, with the big waves making tight layline calls very precarious. Nearly everyone had their share of close encounters with the top mark, with Caser-Endesa (ESP), Islas Canarias and Airis all having to do penalty turns. When Iberdrola a hrefhttp://nzconnxo.jugem.jp/?eid385>had/a> their turn to shoot the mark in the last race, overlapped with Caser-Endesa, they fell off on to port tack and therefore had not one but two turns to complete. But all will be forgotten tomorrow when the final showdown between the two leaders determines who takes the overall GP42 Series Audi MedCup title. The class will afford some spectators with unique access to all the action: tomorrow each GP42 will compete with a guest on board, a new and exciting innovation for the Audi MedCup. Two Australian teams also make the journey from the European championships up to the UK to compete for the title. This years National championships are part of Reg Fest, a regatta celebrating all boats sailed and built by Reg White. The a hrefhttp://uaytceupe.jugem.jp/?eid370>event/a> a hrefhttp://mooxafo.jugem.jp/?eid347>is/a> also being supported by two Tornado builders, the White family and Graham Eeles. We knew day one was going to be breezy and the weather man delivered with gusts hitting 35 knots towards the end of racing. Race One started and the breeze was building throughout the race, there was only one boat over the line but they returned. The fleet quickly made their way up the course towards the windward mark with Ryan Duffield and Thilo Keller taking an early lead on their Windrush Tornado. Just behind them were Grant Piggot and Robby Jon-Garka followed by Kyle Stoneham and Lewis Crawford. It was close at the top mark with the majority of boats cross tacking each other and rounding the mark a hrefhttp://osboyyr.jugem.jp/?eid361>together./a> The racing was steady on the downwind leg but Ryan Duffield increased his lead ahead of Grant Piggot. Over the laps the fleet spread out with some battles between teams on every tack and gybe, good close racing for the competitors. There were a few close calls for some sailors with heavy gusts coming across the race course. The inside of the course seemed to pay slightly throughout the race with smaller waves and a steady breeze. Ryan Duffield returned to the fleet after last years Forts Race victory holding onto his lead to take victory - he is also currently UK Hurricane champion. Can he hold onto the lead to take the Tornado prize as well? Ryan was on fire today, could it be his nice new set of shiny Ullman One Design Sails? Race a hrefhttp://jlwuza.jugem.jp/?eid58>two/a> was started but abandoned before the teams made the windward mark due to heavy weather conditions coming in. Peter Gibb commented on todays racing saying Conditions were a hrefhttp://aaoujoeq.jugem.jp/?eid366>absolutely/a> ideal at the start of todays first race for the Tornado class at around 15-18 knots. Everyone was sailing fast and twin trapezing with plenty of speed downwind also. The racing was very enjoyable but the water was too cold (not as warm as Darwin, Australia). Nicky Davy was out as usual competing with Barry Arnison. Nicky is no ordinary Tornado crew, she is completely blind and sails just from the feel of the boat. Its fantastic to see her enjoying the boat and the close racing. She would challenge any lady to come and have a go on a Tornado. Results 1. Ryan Duffield and Thilo Keller (AUS and GER) 2. HMAS Melbourne steamed to the aid of the UK-flagged chemical tanker MV CPO China, which had been boarded by pirates in the Arabian Sea at approximately 1.45pm Bahrain time on Monday, 3 January. When initially alerted to the incident HMAS Melbourne was approximately 267kms north of the MV CPO China but was able to cover that distance in just over six hours. While steaming to the aid of the MV CPO China, a hrefhttp://fueezkox.jugem.jp/?eid354>HMAS/a> Melbournes helicopter launched and on arrival in the vicinity of MV CPO China was able a hrefhttp://rjscqqyeaq.jugem.jp/?eid309>to/a> deter the pirates from attempting to take control of the ship. As a result the pirates aborted the attack and left the vessel when HMAS Melbourne arrived on the scene. The crew of MV CPO China had successfully secured themselves in the ships citadel (an anti-pirate stronghold) from where they could maintain satellite communications and a hrefhttp://yasaysnyeh.jugem.jp/?eid362>control/a> the ship. The engine controls and steering equipment for the tanker are located in the citadel. This is a terrific example of how Australias maritime contribution to the Middle East Area of Operations provides another layer of security for the region and to the conduct of trade and suppression of criminal activities, said the Commander of Joint Task Force 633, MAJGEN John Cantwell. One of our objectives for operations in the Middle East is to assist the efforts of the international community in reducing acts of piracy. Our men and women aboard HMAS Melbourne deserve recognition for their role in providing maritime security and countering piracy in the Arabian Sea. This is one of those occasions where their efforts have become highly visible, he said.See Images Last Updated ( Wednesday, 05 January 2011 ) /p> h3>US Sailings Rolex Intl a hrefhttp://ryyethhnum.jugem.jp/?eid377>Womens/a> Keelboat Championships :Team Maclaran back in Fleet Racing mode/h3>p> We completed 5 races today at the US Sailings 2011 Rolex International Womens Keelboat Championships. We finished with a score line of 1, 10, 2, 8, and 7 to leave us in 4th overall. We headed out to the race course around 8:45am and started on time at 10am. The conditions this morning were 10-12kts and semi steady breeze relative to how the day ended. By the last race, the wind had swung 55 degrees to the right with both big left and right shifts and the wind dropped to 5-7kts. The racing was tight all around the course. It took us a race a hrefhttp://uoeoordu.jugem.jp/?eid385>or/a> two to fully get back into fleet racing mode, but eventually we grasped the one hour, long course racing. It has been a long day doing 5 long races, so we are very tired and have an early push off the dock tomorrow morning. Renowned for jumping into any boat and winning, the five time Endeavour Trophy winner adds to his world championship title tally with a previous win in the 2008 Laser SB3 World Championships. Fellow Gill Race Team member Craig Burlton also sailed a fantastic series to gain third place overall at this hotly a hrefhttp://kyrhho.jugem.jp/?eid329>contested/a> event. This fantastic start to the sailing championship season for the Gill Race Team continued with young Optmist sailor Sarah Norbury beginning her 2011 campaign in style by taking second place overall at the Volvo Gill Optimist Inland Championship at Grafham Sailing Club in early May. Current British Ladies Champion, Sarah is now focusing on selection for Team GBR at the Optimist World and European Championships later in the year. The Gill Race Team looks to be shaping up for even more success this year, as many of the members have big plans, including windy weather lover Nick Craig. With the 2011 OK World Championships being hosted a hrefhttp://mvgwza.jugem.jp/?eid37>in/a> the UK, Nick is putting in the hours in his favourite dinghy class to challenge for the world title on home waters. On top of this, Nick will be campaigning a Phantom, Enterprise and RS400. Gill wishes Nick, (and his knees, with all that hiking to come), the best of luck! Nineteen year old Mike Wood has already had a flying start to 2011 with a top 5 finish at the 420 2011 World Championships in Argentina. Supported by Gill, now Mike and crew Hermione Stanley are training for a podium position at the 420 European Championships in Portugal in July. Scott Wallis and new crew Alex Curtis will be working hard in the 420 this season to make their mark in the fleet. Having moved from the Optimist to the 420 this year, Scott will be gaining valuable experience in the class as well as competing in the Youth Nationals. In other Gill Race team news, Gill is proud to introduce new Team members Morgan Peach and Herbie a hrefhttp://uyuudux.jugem.jp/?eid321>Harford./a> Having sailed together for 3 years, RS Feva sailors Morgan and Herbie have been in the RS Feva National Squad for 2 years and are currently leading the RS Feva Grand Prix Series. They have big plans for 2011, targeting the UK Inland Championships, the UK National Championships and the World Championships as key regattas. Laser Radial sailor Hugh Brayshaw is also joining the Gill Race Team in 2011. Having successfully campaigned a 420 for the past 2 years, with National Championship wins and selection to represent GBR at the ISAF Youth Worlds in 2010 to his name, Hugh has switched to single handed sailing. A member of the RYA Youth Squad, Hugh is aiming for selection to be part of the GBR team at the World Laser Radial Youth Championships this year. Proud to support well-established and rising talent in sailing, Gill wishes all Gill Race Team sailors the best of luck with their campaigns this season. Even with todays expected slow-down, well likely cross the Equator again the third time this race sometime in the afternoon. Things will change from there as we approach the more technical stage of Leg 4, rife with islands, currents, and rapidly changing weather. Our final week on the water will be a different scenario than the last one, more dependent on volatile and changing weather typically associated with the middle-regions of the planet. Equatorial conditions generate unpredictable squalls and areas of no wind something we know too much about and there will be a small doldrums to cross later down the road to New Zealand. When did we last encounter a doldrum? End of Leg 2, and nobody has forgotten. Groupama was leading, we were in second, Telefnica and CAMPER behind in third and fourth. That one didnt work out so well We exited in fourth, and Telefnica went around everyone to win the leg, nipping CAMPER by a minute. I think its safe to say were all looking forward to a little redemption this time around, especially given the eerie resemblance! Were in a good place, though. Tom is happy with a hrefhttp://yymwuoas.jugem.jp/?eid318>our/a> easterly position and the time has come to see it pay its dividends. The guys to our west will either have to stay low and fast, a risky route taking them through the Solomon Islands, or theyll need to sheet in and sail far slower angles back up to our line, safely to the east of any geographic interference. Whatever they decide, our relative progress is less reliant on straight-line boatspeed and more on sail management and boat handling, especially in the varied conditions. There are many miles to be gained and lost in each maneuver, and those are miles on Groupama we desperately want to take. - Amory Lisa Ramsperger LOCATION: 375-miles W of Nauru Island BOATSPEED: 12.7 WINDSPEED: 13.3 HEADING: 164-degrees SAILS: Big jib, full main WEATHER: Hot squally See Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12 images: Last Updated ( Friday, 02 March 2012 ) /p> br classclear/> !-- interest_match_relevant_zone_end --> div classbbs_preview> /div> br />br />br />div classPOST_TAIL alignright> a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/16517701/>#/a> span classTIME> by span classAUTHOR>ejyebaejqy/span> | a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/16517701/>2012-07-28 15:45/a> /span>div idhx-comment-target-16517701>/div> /div> span idcmt16517701 data-ex-idform-16517701>/span> /div>/div>/div>div classPOST>div classPOST_HEAD clearfix>h2> a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/16517695/>Volvo Ocean Race around the world on your desktop and win Volvo XC60 car./a> /h2>div classadminTool clearfix> /div>div classPOST_BODY> !-- interest_match_relevant_zone_start --> h3>Volvo Ocean Race around the world on your desktop and win Volvo XC60 car./h3>p> The winner of the 2011-12 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race Game, which enables online players to race a virtual Volvo Open 70 around the world following the course of the actual race, will drive away in a brand new Volvo XC60 car. Exactly like the world class professional sailing teams competing in the Volvo Ocean Race for real, players of the game will use live weather data to help them choose the fastest track and the optimum sail combinations to navigate their virtual boats around the world as quickly as possible. Created by multiplayer online gaming specialists United Games, the all-new game will be launched on 29 October a hrefhttp://rytoor.jugem.jp/?eid338>,/a> the day of the in-port racing in Alicante, and features many enhancements over the previous version which attracted over 220,000 players during the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09. United Games CEO Marijn Harinck said: Were very excited to show the game to all the Volvo Ocean Race fans. There have been a lot of changes since the last virtual edition of the Volvo Ocean Race Game. Social media exploded, Twitter has become the number one newsfeed. With this in mind our team created a state of the art racing game where players can test their ability to navigate a Volvo Open 70 across the oceans. The last edition of the game was a huge success, though we think that the Volvo Ocean Race Game 2011-12 will outclass all sailing games. With Facebook integration and easy playable via mobile we can assure it will be easier to connect and sail your virtual yacht. But be aware, the competition will be also harder with over 500,000 boats on the water. The 2011-12 game will be available to play on Facebook and on the Volvo Ocean Race website, as well as on several major news and sporting sites. For the first time, players will also be able to access the Volvo Ocean Race Game on iPhones and Android devices. Facebook players will be able to tag friends and check how they are faring against them as well as sharing the game with other Facebook users. A built in Friend Bar within the game interface will enable all players to create and interact with their own communities as they play the game. Players will also be able to post to Facebook and Twitter directly from the game itself. Other enhancements mean that the latest version will be significantly faster than previously and will enable novice players to quickly become proficient, while also challenging more expert players. Entry in the game is free but players will be able to purchase extra credits to access special features and information. In addition to the top prize of a Volvo XC60, the second placed player will receive a unique timepiece, presented by IWC Schaffhausen, the official timekeeper of the Volvo Ocean Race and the Volvo Ocean Race Game. Third prize will be a VIP Formula 1 motor racing hospitality package, including accommodation and access to the drivers paddock, presented by Volvo Ocean Race logistics partner DHL. A host of additional exclusive prizes will be given away during the race including VIP visits to stopover race villages and rides on Volvo Open 70s, a hrefhttp://fydywouhy.jugem.jp/?eid368>as/a> well as Volvo Ocean Race gifts and other special merchandise. Volvo Ocean Race Communications Director, Jon Bramley said ,Integration with Facebook and Twitter and the fact that the game can be played on several major news and sports websites, as well as on mobile devices, will dramatically extend its reach. The Volvo Ocean Race already has more than 50,000 Facebook fans and we are looking forward to welcoming many more when the game launches. Before the start ofleg oneof the Volvo Ocean Race from Alicante, Spain to Cape Town, South Africa on November 5, players will have two chances to try out the new game during an open beta test race from 14 October to 18 October and an official practice race from 29 October to 2 November. High clouds, chop, and an east-southeasterly breeze in the mid-teens propelled the Stars around the 9.5 nautical mile course after an aggressive start saw seven teams pay a penalty with their scores for starting early. The days race was won by Guillame Florent and Pascal Rambeau (France), making for three different winners in as many races thus far in the series. Swedens Fredrik Lf and Max Salmiren continued their consistent form, adding a second-place finish to yesterdays win. Third place went to three-time BACARDI Cup champion Peter Bromby sailing with a hrefhttp://alohha.16mb.com/thread-10/view-3340.html>Lee/a> White (Bermuda). We actually didnt have such a hrefhttp://oylaryzu.16mb.com/thread-8/view-5614.html>a/a> good start, said Florent about race three. But we found a good lane to the right hand side of the course. We expected a small shift there, but nothing that could give us the lead. But the wind was quite stable, and the speed we had there was the key. We rounded first at the top mark, and after that we managed to stay in the lead. It was a very good win. There are so many sailors to look out for here, remarked Florent on the competition. There are only a few top sailors from the world that arent here. Its a very high level of sailing so you have to keep your eyes on many competitors. This is my first BACARDI Cup, and my first year in the Star with Pascal, who did a very good job today. Rambeau is a two-time Star World Champion (2003, 2005) and won a bronze medal in the Star at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, while Florent also has an Olympic bronze medal won at the 2008 Olympics in the Finn. The Olympics is definitely the goal, Florent concluded. Both Pascal and I have been to the Olympics already, so wed like to do better than we did before. Were working hard to achieve that and hope well be good enough. a hrefhttp://alohha.16mb.com/thread-6/view-2087.html>With/a> the midpoint of the regatta reached, the overall standings continue to reflect a close contest at the top a hrefhttp://alohha.16mb.com/thread-1/view-spravochnik-po-mikroshemam-k174un.html>of/a> the fleet. Swedens Fredrik Lf and Max Salmiren have moved into the overall lead with a hrefhttp://oylaryzu.16mb.com/thread-5/view-skachat-besplatno-i-bez-registratsii-knigu-po-etiketu.html>three/a> points, Guillaume Florent and Pascal Rambeau (France) are now second with four points. Early series leaders Eivind Melleby and Petter Morland Pedersen (Norway) dropped two places and stand third overall with five points and Peter OLeary and David Burones (Ireland) are fourth with seven points. Only one point separates the teams standing fifth through 11th: Mateusz Kusznierewicz and Dominik Zycki (Poland) have 12 points; New Zealands Hamish Pepper and Craig Monk remain sixth with 13 points; Maciej Grabowski and Lukasz Lesinski (Poland) dropped two places to seventh but retain 14 points; and despite an OCS penalty, Peter Vessella (Burlingame, Calif.) and Rodney Hagebols (San Francisco, Calif.) have 15 points for eighth place. Andy Horton (South Burlington, Vermont) and crew James Lyne (Granville, Vermont) are ninth with 16 points, followed by Mark Reynolds (San Diego, Calif.) and Rick Peters (Venice, Calif.) with 17 points and Augie Diaz (Miami, Fla.) with Bruno Prada (Brazil) is 11th on 18 points. Peter Bromby and Lee White (Bermuda) are just four points behind this tight pack, standing 12th overall with 22 points. Jan Harley See Bacardi Cup images: Last Updated ( Thursday, 10 March 2011 ) /p> h3>Barcelona World Race : Building up and counting down for the FONCIA duo/h3>p> Five days ago Michel Desjoyeaux and Franois Gabart set down their bags in the Catalan capital. Since the boat was relaunched just before the weekend the two sailors have been carrying out a series of double-handed sea trials aboard FONCIA and this has been the duos main focus with 17 days to go till the start of the Barcelona World Race. Scrutineering: OK Since the Route du Rhum finish, the whole FONCIA team has been ready for action again. Delivered via cargo ship from Martinique, the boat arrived in Barcelona on 29 November. Following on from that, she got through the scrutineering with flying colours and was relaunched on Friday 10 December. Straight away Michel and Franois cast off on a series of day sails before moving on to a night sail in breezy conditions around Cape Creus, 100 miles offshore of the Catalan coast. Between now and the start of the Barcelona World Race on 31 December 2010, they have decided to concentrate on some training in situ. Indeed Franois as only sailed for a short amount of time on the boat aboard which he is preparing to complete his first circumnavigation of the globe and the two men need to make sure things are synchronised between them. The aim is to double my time on the water in Barcelona, but that wont be very hard! admits Franois with a laugh. Task sharing Working a hrefhttp://alohha.16mb.com/thread-6/view-diltey-opisatelnaya-psihologiya-skachat-knigu-besplatno.html>around/a> the various meetings imposed by the organisation (safety tests, briefings, etc.), the two co-skippers, soon to be alone together for a three month circumnavigation of the globe, are also working on the organisation aboard the boat. Theyve set up a three hour watch system, which can be adjusted according to the weather conditions and the desire or need to helm. This system will take into account the fact that in double-handed configuration theyll spend between 50 and 70% of their time at the helm, compared with 15% on a Vende Globe! As far as the dividing up of responsibilities goes, this will follow a logical pattern: Michel, who knows his boat very well, will be in charge of the technical element and the boat checks, while Franois will focus more on the electronics. 95% of the manuvres will be performed together and the strategic decisions will be democratic (in the event of a disagreement, the first skipper will ultimately make the decision). Olympic form With less than three weeks to the start of the Barcelona Word Race, Franois is also discovering the intensity of the days preceding a race which gets a lot of media attention. He recognises the need to get into a rhythm (as regards sleep for example) and to ensure he has a few calm slots to refocus himself. Indeed, just a few days ago, the 27 year old skipper announced the construction of an Open 60 footer (sistership to FONCIA) for an Imoca campaign stretching through until 2014 so he certainly has plenty to keep his mind occupied at the moment. For his part, Michel is familiar with that pressure and the entreaties that are inherent with big sailing a hrefhttp://uuuqdsuof.16mb.com/thread-8/view-5126.html>events/a> and knows just how to prepare himself. For the time being, in the sunshine of Barcelona, the skipper of FONCIA is on Olympic form. Quotes: Michel Desjoyeaux (FRA): Were going to try to go out on the water every weekday, whilst setting some time aside for the boat preparation. We need it and it will also help towards our physical preparation. The more time we get to sail between now and the start, the better. This is especially true given that well be spending a lot of time together on deck at the start of the race. The a hrefhttp://rkorgry.16mb.com/thread-8/view-4945.html>Mediterranean/a> is always special and there are often a lot of manuvres to perform with little rest. Franois Gabar (FRA)t: During this pre-start phase I know that Michel is already deeply involved in everything. For my part, I also need to have a bit of time to myself, to go running for example. Its important on a mental and physical level to be able to focus on the race, without being caught up by any outside constraints a hrefhttp://oylaryzu.16mb.com/thread-3/view-stsenariy-dnya-rozhdeniya-dlya-podrostkov.html>Im/a> just getting my head around the fact that in three weeks Ill be setting off on a circumnavigation of the globe, and that its no mean feat See Barcelona World Race images Last Updated ( Wednesday, 15 December 2010 ) /p> br classclear/> !-- interest_match_relevant_zone_end --> div classbbs_preview> /div> br />br />br />div classPOST_TAIL alignright> a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/16515440/>#/a> span classTIME> by span classAUTHOR>ejyebaejqy/span> | a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/16515440/>2012-07-28 13:17/a> /span>div idhx-comment-target-16515440>/div> /div> span idcmt16515440 data-ex-idform-16515440>/span> /div>/div>/div> div classpagerNavLink>span classcurrent>1/span>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/2/>2/a>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/3/>3/a>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/4/>4/a>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/5/>5/a>span classnextpage>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/2/>次へ >/a>/span>span classlast>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/page/26/>>>/a>/span>/div> div classpageTool> span classpre>/span> span classnext>/span> /div> /div> div classPROFILE_R>div classsubother> img srchttps://s.eximg.jp/exblog/user3/img/img-logo-default.gif classLOGO width150 height150 border0 />br /> rouekmlor br> by ejyebaejqy div classprofile-detail>a idprofile_detail_link hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/profile/ stylefont-size: 90%;>プロフィールを見る/a>/div> div classprofile-imagelist>a hrefhttps://nyhoxxeqmo.exblog.jp/iv/list/ idiv_list stylefont-size: 90%;>画像一覧/a>/div> div classprofile-push> a classprofile-push__link idpush_subscribe_trigger stylefont-size: 90%;
