I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer. Towards the end of 2005 I acquired the camera (a Panasonic FZ5 ‘bridge camera’) that added a new dimension to my interest in wildlife and the use of telephoto/zoom lenses. By 2006 my enthusiasm was taking over. I bought a Panasonic FZ30 and then an FZ50 (after dropping the 30). These bridge cameras gave me much pleasure but sadly not too many photos from that era have survived in my print possible folder.I began reading about the benefits of DSLRs and in the spring of 2007 I acquired a Nikon D80. The die was set. I now own a series of Nikon DSLRs and lenses. I was lucky enough to purchase a Nikon 300mm VR lens before the prices went up, and now use it with 1.4x and 2x converters. Also
